Lacey PAC - Adaptive Movement Center

At AMC, we provide a joyful, secure, and stimulating environment where our friends of all ages can learn, play, and explore—no adapting required! From professional therapy sessions to fun‐filled movie nights, we believe in creating programs that nurture each individual’s unique abilities, year‐round.

Our Special Needs Friends will have 2-3 hours 3-4 days a week at the Center which will be open year-round, allowing our friends to have activities and therapy in the summer months and during school months.

Exercise Classes

We take “fitness” to a whole new level! Designed for all abilities, these fun workout classes help improve balance, coordination, and overall health. From adaptive yoga to lively music‐and‐motion sessions, there’s something for everyone.

After‐School Care

A Safe, Supportive Space to Wind Down—or Amp Up!

Our after‐school program offers supervised activities, homework help, social skill development, and healthy snacks—always in a nurturing environment that welcomes every child.

Respite Care

Rest Easy—We’ve Got You Covered

We understand that parents and caregivers need a chance to recharge! Our respite care services provide a short‐term break while ensuring that loved ones are engaged, safe, and having a blast. Enjoy some “me time” knowing your family member is in excellent hands.

Workforce & Life Skills

Building Bridges to a Bright Future

Teens and adults can gain real‐world experience through our hands‐on training programs. We focus on developing everyday life skills (like budgeting and communication) and preparing for the workplace. Whether it’s computer basics or interview practice, we’re here to support everyone on their path to independence.

Services for Children & Adults with Special Needs

The Adaptive Movement Center will provide many services including but not limited to: Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Food Therapy, exercise classes, field trips, movie & game nights, poker nights for adults, workforce education, sensory and movement, dance classes and much more.

The Adaptive Movement Center is somewhere our special needs friends of all ages can be themselves. It is a Center where they do not have to adapt to anyone or anything, a place they can escape the chaos and strenuous world we all live in.

  • Interact with their Peers & create longtime relationships with friends.

  • We allow the care givers of our special needs friends some time on their own, to get things done or rest while their loved one is safe and having fun.

  • Educating and guiding our special needs community on how to find jobs, how to get a job and keep the job and much more in a working economy such as ours.

  • Providing purpose for our special needs community, of all ages, giving them a chance to change the world and having guidance and support while doing so!
